The most valuable lesson that COVID-19 gave all of us is that our health is really important, and we need to start taking it more serious.
Here are seven steps to help you start making changes on how you take care of your health:
1. BE COMPLETELY HONEST WITH YOURSELF
What are you willing to do to achieve your goals?
2. FIGURE OUT WHAT MAKES YOUR SPIRIT SOAR
If you are not happy and aren’t fulfilled in life, you won’t be able to stay focused on improving your health
3. SET BIG GOALS AND BREAK THEM DOWN INTO SMALLER GOALS TO BE ACHIEVED WITHIN 90 DAYS
Aiming right away to lose 100 lbs. is a long shot. Break it down. Take action on a daily basis and you’ll be surprised what happens
4. WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO AND SAY IT OUT LOUD
It may sound simple and silly, but it works. Different connections are made in the brain when we write things. Jot them down, look In the mirror, and say what you wrote to your self every single day.
5. PREPARE TO DO THE WORK
You must have a plan to make this work. If your plan is to have a healthy breakfast everyday, you must have the right foods in your house.
6. STOP MAKING EXCUSES
You must make yourself accountable. There’s no such thing as “I’ll try.”
7. DON’T BE AFRAID TO FAIL
Whatever happens, do not give up. One day of failing yourself isn’t a reason to quit.
Do those things above for the first 90 days. Another 90 days if it works for you, until you reach the one-year mark and compare yourself.
