EP #25 How the Economic Shutdown Impacts Small Businesses with Naomi Boutz

by | Jun 4, 2020

In this episode, Evie talks to Naomi to share her story about being a business owner in this pandemic. Naomi is the proprietor of Vine and Olive Eatery and Wine Bar in Idaho. Throughout the episode she shares her entrepreneurial journey and how she became a business owner of a successful restaurant.

As everyone knows, a few months ago, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, affecting everyone, especially business owners. Naomi shares her  thoughts and feelings as she heard the news to close down restaurants due to the virus. She shares how this affected her as a business owner, what she did right to “prepare”, how she adapted quickly to find creative new ways to still operate some business, and adjusting to businesses slowly starting to open up again.

The biggest takeaway for her in this pandemic is having this horrible mental battle. Feeling depressed asking, “What’s going to happen to the world?” But she decided to not go into that rabbit hole. Never choose fear, always choose hope.
